A BRIEF HISTORY OF RECLAIMING AMERICA FOR CHRIST
After attending the last Reclaiming America for Christ Conference, hosted by the late Dr. D. James Kennedy at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in 2006, our hearts were burdened over the spiritual bankruptcy of our nation. What could an average citizen do to make a difference?
The answer was quite clear. The same strategy that Nehemiah used in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem must be employed in rebuilding the walls of America. Each person, each family, each church must take responsibility for making a difference in their own neighborhood, community and state.
Knowing that it was the spiritual revival that history calls the “Great Awakening” and the preaching of the patriot pastors in Colonial America that stirred the hearts of the people towards liberty from tyranny and the birth of our nation in 1776, we believe that the same strategy must be employed for the re-birth of our Christian liberty in America.
We began working to “Reclaim Oklahoma for Christ” and now have an effective working relationship with over 500 pastors from across our state. Our goal is to connect with, encourage, and if needed, assist pastors all over the nation in reclaiming their own states for Christ and the Christian liberty upon which our founding fathers built this great country.
Although we are not affiliated or connected with Coral Ridge Ministries or its former initiative, the Center for Reclaiming America, we have been granted permission by those entities to use the name “Reclaiming America for Christ” as we expand this vision across America. We hope to honor the name and legacy of Dr. Kennedy as we strive for another Great Awakening in this nation.

I was fortunate to meet with most of the crew at the Give Me Liberty tour
I can say that they are Godly men and women out to make a bold stand for God.
This is a video of Dr. Rick Scarborough who is the founder of vision America.
I felt blessed and I was blessed to have pastor Scarborough pray for me and the ministry Yeshuas Time while visiting Temple Aron Hakodesh in June 2014

Take Action! And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. John 20:28
We have been taught in recent decades that we are to put our Christianity into a compartment. You can be just as “spiritual” as you want on Sundays from 9 AM until Noon, but don’t take your faith to work, the store, the lake and especially don’t let your faith in Christ affect how you vote.
Somehow, I don’t think that is what Thomas had in mind. Thomas confessed Jesus as the Lord of His life, not just the Lord of Sunday morning. Jesus is either the Lord of all or he is not really your Lord at all.
America has been unique. Why, for the first time in 6000 years in human history, have Christians enjoyed civil and religious liberty? It is because of the incredible influence of the earliest generations of Pilgrims and Puritans. These families were devoted followers of Christ and looked at every aspect of the world through the lens of Scripture. They attempted to maintain a Biblical worldview regarding the way they conducted business, the way they functioned as families, how they organized their churches and how they organized themselves into civil governments.
The great commission charges us to go into all the world and make disciples. Evangelism is job one, but we are not simply to get someone to pray to receive Christ and then abandon them. We are to be making disciples out of them by training them in the Word of God and consequently to achieve a Biblical worldview on every area of life.
There are a number of great books on Christian apologetics by Josh McDowell, Frank Turek, C. S. Lewis and others. There are also great resources for complete worldview training. For example, The Truth Project is a wonderful twelve session DVD series produced by Focus on the Family that is completely self-contained.
Below are some suggested resources if you would like to develop and strengthen your worldview on the purpose and practice of civil government. This will not be the end of your training, but this will be a great beginning to help you develop a Biblical worldview on Civil Government.

The American PlanSince 1998 Vision America has been informing and mobilizing pastors and their congregations, across the nation, to get involved in the civic affairs of their communities. We believe that if even a minority of the pastors and churches in any community will implement the following 7 step AMERICA program, we can dramatically change the cultural landscape thereby restoring the original vision of our founding fathers for America to be a “shining city on a hill.”
Articulate the Biblical basis for Christian citizenshipSpeak to the crucial moral issues of the day and communicate why Christians must be active citizens, influencing public policy on matters with Biblical perspective
Motivate the congregation to take their civic responsibilities seriouslyMost Christians will not become involved in any ministry or take action related to cultural change over the objection or ambivalence of their Pastor. Pastoral leadership makes the difference.
Educate the congregation on the ‘Why’ and ‘How’ of civic involvementCongregations must be informed of their American religious heritage, understand the original intent of the U. S. Constitution, and know how to become involved in the citizenship process.
Register to vote all eligible adults in the churchIf a person is 18 or older and an American citizen this is not an option! The goal is 100% registered, 100% voting.
Inform the congregation about important policy and moral issuesHelp create an awareness of pending legislation at the local, state, and national levels. Address current moral issues from the pulpit, including sanctity of life, protection of marriage, family values, protection of religious freedom, and the need to strengthen and enforce pornography laws.
Coordinate, as appropriate, with like-minded churches in the community Encourage and support other Pastors who are committed to restoring Judeo-Christian values into the culture and civil institutions of our nation.
Activate the congregation Create or strengthen a Community Impact Ministry in the church to facilitate the above activities in an organized manner and to serve as the church’s link to Vision America. We are aiming to utilize today’s technology to inform, educate and activate the congregation, using email, fax and Internet-based education for training and information.
